VBX Notes Manfred Jainz' notes about VBX105: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- What's new in VBX 1.05? 99/11/08 ----------------------- - Call VDE for text editing (if you need word processing, wordwrap) - View contents of the paste buffer - VBX has become DESQview aware (thanks to Gary R.Welles) - VBX runs now also under XTREE (thanks to Steve Adelewitz) - Revised documentation (README, COMMAND, online HELP) The main new functionality in VBX 1.05 is the possibility to call VDE with a single keystroke besides VBX's own text editing. VBX105 has two new commands in MODE=0 (move cursor mode): - "T" => call VDE to (Text-)edit with mode /A and proper margins to allow wordwrap - "I" => view (=Inspect) the current contents of the paste buffer You may send one of the following four objects to VDE for editing: - the entire file, - a range of complete lines, - the interior of a box or sub-box - a marked region. For details consult the new chapter C. in COMMAND.VBX . Besides that I corrected some minor bugs in the cursor move control in boxes and marked regions during VBX's own text editing. Additionally I found (and corrected) two bugs in VBX's dynamic storage handling. Under certain conditions VBX assumed lack of memory although there was plenty, and sometimes the memory allocated to a file was not freed when you quit from it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to VDE Files Page
